Letters of Inquiry

   A letter of inquiry may be submitted prior to submitting a full proposal for funding.

    You may use a letter of inquiry after you have reviewed our funding guidelines to determine your eligibility for funding.  In addition to basic information about your organization, we would like a brief outline of your statement of need and a project budget.

    You may complete this as a word document and attach it to an e-mail addressed to:

GUIDELINES

First Time Applicants

Grant proposals should contain:

PROPOSAL SUMMARY.doc

Narrative of the organization and description of need;

Financial Statements for last two years (preferably audited)
or
Form 990;

Budget for capital expenditures;

Estimates or quotes obtained;

IRS Determination letter - nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organizations only classifying agency as an organization that is not a private foundation as defined in section 509a of the IRS code, with Federal Tax Identification Number.

PREVIOUS APPLICANTS - Within the past five years

Need to provide the same documents as a First Time Applicant with the exception of providing only one year of audited financial statements.

DEADLINES

Proposals are reviewed on a monthly basis; 12 times per year or more when necessary.

$1,000-$15,000

CAMPERSHIP APPLICANTS

Please provide:

PROPOSAL SUMMARY.doc

One Year of most recent audited financial statements (preferably audited) or Form 990; and

IRS Determination Letter.

   Please send your proposal electronically in a PDF file to:    

                           proposals@lindsaytrust.org   

    We will accept Microsoft Word documents and Excel documents as attachments.

    If you are unable to send your proposal or any portion thereof electronically, we will accept it via U.S. mail.

A status report for the grant awarded is required after the grant has been expended.  Please use the attached Report Form at the link bellow:
