Supporting health and welfare organizations through grants for both capital and operating needs that directly improve the lives of individuals and families in our communities.

The Trust supports organizations serving individuals with a wide range of needs, including, but not limited to, people who are blind, deaf, learning disabled, physically or intellectually disabled, or elderly, as well as children, youth, and families facing challenging circumstances.

Our funding also extends to organizations that help individuals overcome barriers and access the resources and services they need to thrive. This includes organizations providing mental health services, employment and workforce training, domestic violence support, and other programs designed to promote stability, independence, self-sufficiency, and overall well-being.

Through our grantmaking, we seek to support organizations that are making a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of the people they serve, whether through essential day-to-day services, innovative programs, or capital projects that strengthen their ability to serve their communities.

Expanding access to quality dental care by supporting organizations that provide free or low-cost services to low-income and underserved populations, including children, families, seniors, and individuals who face financial or other barriers to obtaining the dental care they need.

Grants may support both capital and programmatic needs, including the purchase of dental equipment and other essential resources that allow clinics to expand their capacity, improve the quality of care they provide, and serve more patients. We recognize that good oral health is an important part of overall health and well-being, we support organizations working to make dental care more accessible to those who need it most.

Through these grants, the Trust hopes to strengthen community-based dental programs and help ensure that financial circumstances do not prevent individuals from receiving essential preventive, restorative, and ongoing dental care.

Enriching Children’s Lives Through Summer Camp and Recreation

​

Providing camperships to organizations that offer summer camps and enrichment programs for children who might otherwise be unable to participate due to financial circumstances. The Trust believes that every child should have the opportunity to experience the joy, personal growth, and lasting benefits that a summer camp or enrichment program can provide.

​

Camp offers children much more than a summer activity. It can be an opportunity to build confidence and independence, develop new skills, form friendships, explore new interests, and experience a sense of belonging in a supportive environment. For many children, summer camp can be a transformative experience that creates memories and opportunities that stay with them long after the summer ends.

​

Support may extend beyond traditional overnight camps to include a variety of summer enrichment programs that provide meaningful educational, recreational, and developmental opportunities for children.

​

Through our campership program, we hope to give children the opportunity to learn, grow, have fun, and simply enjoy being a child during the summer months—regardless of their family’s financial circumstances.

Supporting Individuals Experiencing Homelessness

Responding to the growing needs of homeless shelters and organizations that provide essential services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. We recognize that homelessness can result from a wide range of circumstances, including unemployment, financial hardship, addiction, behavioral health challenges, domestic violence, and other unexpected or complex life situations.

​

The Trust supports organizations working to address both the immediate and long-term needs of individuals experiencing homelessness. Grants may help provide essential shelter, food, clothing, personal care items, and other basic necessities, while also supporting programs that help individuals regain stability and move toward more secure and independent lives.

​

Capital and operating support grants are available to help shelters and community organizations strengthen their facilities, maintain essential services, and expand their ability to meet the needs of the people they serve.

Through our grantmaking, we strive to work alongside organizations committed to addressing homelessness in their communities and helping individuals and families find safety, stability, and a path toward a more secure future.

Addressing Food Insecurity

​

Recognizing the growing demand placed on food pantries, food banks, and other organizations working to combat hunger, the Trust is committed to supporting efforts to ensure that individuals and families have reliable access to nutritious food and other basic necessities. Rising food costs, inflation, and ongoing financial pressures have made it increasingly difficult for many households to meet their most basic needs, placing additional strain on organizations that provide critical food assistance within their communities.

We support organizations working to reduce food insecurity and ensure that no individual or family has to worry about where their next meal will come from. Our grants may help purchase and distribute and deliver food, expand food access programs, improve storage and distribution capabilities, and respond to the increasing demand for their services.

​

Capital and operating support grants are available to help strengthen the capacity of food pantries, food banks, and community-based food programs. Through this support, we strive to make a meaningful and lasting impact by helping organizations meet immediate needs while strengthening their ability to serve their communities over the long term.

Advancing education by supporting a broad range of learning opportunities for children, young adults, and adults

This includes, but is not limited to early learning and afterschool programs, out-of-school-time enrichment, STEM education, adult literacy, dual-language learner and ESL programs, as well as professional training and certificate programs.

​

Our goal is to help create meaningful educational opportunities that enable individuals to learn, grow, and thrive while giving them the tools and support they need to reach their full potential.

We believe that access to quality education and enrichment can have a lasting impact—not only on an individual’s future, but also on families and communities.
