Please Note:  This Trust does not provide grants of any kind directly to individuals.  Grants are only awarded to nonprofit organizations that hold a 501 (c) 3 status as recognized by the Internal Revenue Service.

 LETTER OF INQUIRY

    If you have never applied to the Trust in the past, we recommend that you provide a letter of inquiry as your first contact with the Trust.  If you are requesting a campership grant, please skip this step (see campership guidelines below).

    A letter of inquiry may be submitted prior to submitting a full proposal for funding and should be 1-2 pages.

    You may use a letter of inquiry after you have reviewed our website to determine your eligibility for funding. The letter should include:

  • The mission of your organization

  • A brief description of its history and current programming

  • An explanation of need for support

  • Include the project budget

  • The amount you are requesting and other funding sources under consideration or already secured

  • Federal Tax ID#

  • Legal address

  • Contact Information

 

     You may complete this as a word document or PDF document and attach it to an e-mail addressed to: 

GRANT GUIDELINES - FULL GRANT REQUEST

   Grant proposals should contain:

 

  • Narrative of the organization and description of need - can be included in Proposal Summary;

 

  • COMPLETE audited Financial Statements for last two years (2021 & 2022) or Form 990 must be included;

        PROPOSALS WITHOUT FINANCIALS WILL NOT BE REVIEWED

 

  • Budget for capital expenditures, if any;

 

  • Estimates or quotes obtained, if any;

  • IRS Determination letter - nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations only classifying agency as an organization that is not a private foundation as defined in section 509a of the IRS code, with Federal Tax Identification Number. 

       

Please submit your request electronically (preferably in PDF format); however, we will accept Word and EXCEL documents to the following e-mail address:

DEADLINES

   Proposals are reviewed on a monthly basis or more often as necessary. 

FROM THE TIME AN LOI (LETTER OF INQUIRY ) OR GRANT PROPOSAL IS SUBMITTED FOR REVIEW, TO THE TIME YOU RECEIVE A LETTER OF DECISION, THE WAITING PERIOD IS APPROX. TWO MONTHS. A LETTER OF DECISION IS SENT TO THE RECIPIENT BY U.S. MAIL.

REPORTS

   A status report for the grant awarded is required after the grant has been expended.  You may download and submit the report form below.

   ONE YEAR WAITING PERIOD

   All grantees must wait one year from the date of the award before reapplying to the Trust, except for Campership requests.  See below for Campership Guidelines.

DECLINED

Grant request declined? Unfortunately, we may not always be able to give you a specific reason why you were not funded. If your organization received a declination letter, and you would like to reapply in the future, please contact the Administrative Director by phone at 978-455-7818 or by e-mail to:  

 

CAMPERSHIP GUIDELINES

   

       ***PLEASE NOTE: ALL CAMPERSHIP PROPOSALS FOR SUMMER 2024 ARE DUE BY MAY 12TH*** 

       FOR CAMPERSHIP PROPOSALS TO BE REVIEWED PLEASE PROVIDE:

  

  • Your 2022 audited financial statements or Form 990; 

  • Camp budget; and

  • IRS Determination Letter. 

   Please submit your request electronically (preferably in PDF format); however, we will accept Word and EXCEL 

   documents to:

   

   If you are unable to submit your grant request via e-mail, we will accept it by U.S. mail.  

GRANT RANGE

   $1,000 - $7,500 for all grant requests.
